• Firstly, bathe the linga with milk, butter, yoghurt and honey.
• Then decorate the Shiv Linga using ingredients of the ritual like flowers, Bel leaves and Rudraksha.
• The next step is to chant for healing and health.
• Here the priest performs the puja by reciting the Laghunyasa using Rudraksha beads (mala).
• The next step is the recital or chanting of the Shivopasana mantra.
